Google recently announced an update to its Circle to Search feature, enabling users to retain translation results even while scrolling through content on their smartphone screens. This enhancement makes browsing foreign-language webpages far more seamless and convenient.
Previously, translations were only available when the screen was static—once the user began scrolling, the translation would disappear and had to be reinitiated. The latest update removes this limitation, allowing translated text to remain visible as users scroll through content. Moreover, translations now persist even when switching to another app, ensuring a continuous experience when reading foreign websites, menus, or service descriptions.
For now, the feature will roll out first to Samsung Galaxy devices, with other Android models expected to receive the update at a later stage.
In addition, Google has refined Circle to Search with more intuitive one-tap actions for phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs. Users can now directly place calls, draft emails, or open web pages with a single tap, making smartphone interactions even more fluid and user-friendly.
Since its launch, Circle to Search has steadily evolved through regular updates, reinforcing its role as a powerful mobile search and real-time assistance tool. With growing demand for multilingual and cross-platform functionality, the addition of scrolling translations and cross-app integration further enhances its everyday utility.
