Revamped "Start" Menu Interface
For years, Windows 10 lacked support for Bluetooth audio sharing—a feature that has only recently entered testing on Windows 11. Now, this long-awaited capability has begun rolling out to the stable version of Windows 11. Naturally, as Windows 10 has reached the end of its support lifecycle, it is unlikely ever to receive this update.
The purpose of Bluetooth audio sharing is to allow users to simultaneously play audio through multiple Bluetooth devices. Previously, users could connect several Bluetooth audio peripherals but were limited to outputting sound through only one at a time. With this new feature, if supported, users can now broadcast audio to two devices concurrently, enabling shared listening experiences.
According to Microsoft, beginning with Windows 11 Build 26220.7051, users can share a single audio stream between two independent wireless devices—including headphones, speakers, hearing aids, and other Bluetooth-enabled audio accessories. For example, two passengers on a flight can now watch a movie together using separate wireless headsets.
However, the feature currently comes with significant limitations. At present, Bluetooth audio sharing is restricted to Microsoft Copilot+ PCs equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Devices running on other chipsets are not yet supported, though Microsoft has stated that it is actively working to expand compatibility.

Future updates will gradually extend this functionality through driver updates to devices powered by Intel Core Ultra 200 and Qualcomm Snapdragon X series processors. As for when traditional x86 systems might gain access to the feature, that remains uncertain—users will have to wait a while longer.
For those with compatible hardware already running Windows Insider Dev or Beta builds, the feature can be tested now: simply connect two wireless headsets via Bluetooth, open Quick Settings from the taskbar network icon, select “Share Audio,” and choose the two devices that should receive the shared audio output.
