Recently, Logitech’s peripheral software suites, Logi Options+ and G HUB, encountered a widespread service disruption on macOS due to the expiration of the firm’s Apple Developer Certificate. Under Apple’s stringent security protocols, an expired certificate is deemed untrusted, prompting the system to preemptively block all associated background processes.
As these applications facilitate extensive device customization, their failure rendered personalized configurations inert for millions of users worldwide. Logitech has since rectified the situation by issuing software updates embedded with a renewed certificate. All macOS users utilizing Logi Options+ or G HUB must now manually download and perform an “over-the-top” installation to restore functionality.
It is imperative that users do not uninstall their current software, as doing so will permanently erase existing custom configurations unless a prior backup has been secured.

Should a notification appear stating the software already exists, simply exit the installer. Upon manually launching the application, all settings and data should be seamlessly restored.
This complication is exclusive to macOS; users running the Windows iterations of Logi Options+ remain unaffected and require no further action.
