W3Techs statistics: WordPress is the most popular CMS

W3Techs released the latest CMS content management system’s popularity statistics report and found that Alexa ranked top ten million websites, about 50.2% of the site does not run any CMS system, and the remaining sites running CMS system, 30.0% use WordPress.

It also means that WordPress shares more than 60% of the sites running CMS. Ten times higher than second place Joomla.

From the figure above, you can also find that the top four CMS systems on the market are open source: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Magento.
