Apple has just released iOS 26 Beta 3 for developers—a version primarily focused on refinements and bug fixes rather than introducing any significant new features. According to users who have already upgraded, system fluidity remains largely unchanged.
As previously disclosed by Apple, a Public Beta for general users is expected to launch later this month. While public beta updates tend to be less frequent than developer previews, they often offer slightly better stability.
Returning to the newly released build, after the debut of Beta 1 and Beta 2, many users voiced concerns about the semi-transparent “liquid glass” effect making certain menus difficult to read. For instance, in Apple Music, the background of the bottom navigation bar was translucent, rendering button labels hard to distinguish.

This issue has been widespread across iOS 26, affecting not only Apple Music but also the App Store and other system apps. In response, Apple has begun adjusting menu transparency levels to ensure text readability.
In Apple Music, for example, the bottom navigation bar has transitioned from a translucent design to a frosted gray-white finish, greatly enhancing the clarity of button text. However, the background of the selected button still retains a degree of transparency.
Similar improvements have been made in Safari. Users already on iOS 26 Beta 2 are encouraged to update to Beta 3 and experience these interface refinements firsthand. Judging by ongoing user feedback, Apple is likely to continue fine-tuning these visual elements in future updates.
