Recently, the hacktivist collective Anonymous has claimed responsibility for a sweeping cyberattack against Russia, releasing a staggering 10 terabytes of leaked data in what it describes as a move “in defense of Ukraine.” The announcement was made through a post on the social platform X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a screenshot displaying a directory of the leaked contents.
According to the group, the breach exposes sensitive internal files linked to the Russian government, Kremlin-affiliated individuals and organizations, and foreign assets connected to pro-Russian influence networks. Strikingly, the leak also includes a file labeled “Leaked Data of Donald Trump,” suggesting potential ties or intelligence implicating the former U.S. president in pro-Kremlin affairs.

A glimpse at the image shared with the post reveals a long list of folders with naming conventions such as:
- “Leaked Data of China government site”
- “Leaked Data of Donald Trump”
- “Leaked Data of Amnesty International”
- “Leaked Data of Kremlin-linked Telegram channels”
- “DarkHabits Leak of Russian IP Cameras”
- “Leaked Data of Dmitriy Peskov”
Among the targets are media figures, diplomats, multinational corporations, and state-owned entities. The appearance of names such as Andrey Malakhov, Amnesty International, Danone, Auchan, and even Domino’s Pizza illustrates the wide net cast by the hackers—pulling data from both political and commercial domains.
While Anonymous has not released further details or threatened follow-up actions, the sheer scale of the leak—10TB—is significant. Cybersecurity experts warn that the data could contain everything from internal communications and credentials to surveillance footage, financial documents, and personal information.
If verified, the leak could have far-reaching geopolitical consequences, potentially unveiling covert strategies, backdoor dealings, and influence operations across Europe and the U.S.
The inclusion of Donald Trump’s name raises particular intrigue. Whether the files contain credible intelligence or are merely labeled provocatively remains unclear, but the potential political ramifications are immense—particularly amid ongoing investigations into foreign influence in Western democracies.
This disclosure appears to be part of #OpRussia, a long-running campaign by Anonymous and other affiliated hacker collectives targeting Russian cyberinfrastructure, media, and propaganda networks in retaliation for the invasion of Ukraine.
Since early 2022, Anonymous has taken responsibility for defacing Russian state websites, leaking military data, and exposing Russian corporations doing business abroad. However, this 10TB data release marks one of the largest digital leaks ever associated with the campaign.
