Google has announced the launch of “Google Unified Security,” an integrated security solution powered by Gemini AI, along with the introduction of new security agents designed to help enterprises address the growing fragmentation of data and the inconsistency of security tools resulting from organizational scale.
Much like the previously introduced experimental security model, Sec-Gemini v1, this new offering builds upon Google’s acquisition of Mandiant. It promises a scalable and searchable security data structure with comprehensive visibility, detection, and response capabilities across networks, endpoints, cloud environments, and applications. Additionally, it integrates the latest Google Threat Intelligence to enable timely risk detection and threat prioritization.
At its core, Google Unified Security brings together all essential security resources—monitoring data, authentication, and threat intelligence—into a single, semi-automated platform that empowers organizations to uncover hidden risks proactively and implement remediation before attackers can inflict damage.
In tandem with the rise of AI-driven agent services, Google is also introducing a new class of Gemini-powered security agents, including an alert triage agent to prioritize threat warnings and a malware analysis agent to assess code safety. These tools, expected to enter preview in Q2 of this year, aim to drastically reduce the manual burden on frontline and secondary security personnel while accelerating threat identification.
Google has also rolled out enhanced data pipeline management tools, enabling organizations to route, filter, and control data distribution at scale—ensuring sensitive information is handled in accordance with regional compliance regulations.
A newly unveiled Mandiant Threat Defense service—derived from Mandiant’s core technologies—provides proactive threat detection, threat hunting, and response capabilities, allowing enterprises to scale their cybersecurity defenses more effectively.
Coming this June, Google will release a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) feature to help organizations classify and secure sensitive data, monitor for policy violations, and ensure regulatory compliance. This will be paired with a new Compliance Manager tool that integrates policy enforcement, auditing, and governance directly into operational workflows.
On the endpoint protection front, the Chrome Enterprise Premium browser now includes phishing defense mechanisms powered by Google Safe Browsing. Organizations can also register their own domains and brand assets to help identify and block phishing attempts that impersonate internal corporate environments.
As part of its Risk Protection Program, Google has announced new partnerships with global cybersecurity insurers Beazley and Chubb to offer discounted cyber insurance premiums based on cloud security posture, extending risk-mitigation benefits worldwide.
Lastly, Google is expanding Mandiant’s cybersecurity advisory services through a new Mandiant Retainer program, offering customers guaranteed access to expert incident responders within two hours. This service also enables clients to prepay for investigations, training, and threat intelligence to strengthen their resilience and institutional knowledge.
