Founded in 2009 and long celebrated as one of the most popular AI-powered writing assistants, Grammarly has announced a major rebranding initiative—the company will henceforth be known as Superhuman. This transformation marks a pivotal step following Grammarly’s recent acquisitions of the advanced email platform Superhuman Mail and the AI-driven productivity suite Coda, both completed earlier in 2025.
In a move rarely seen in the tech industry, Grammarly—the acquiring company—has chosen to adopt the brand name of its acquisition, rather than subsume the purchased services under its own.
Under its new identity, Superhuman will unify Grammarly’s writing assistant, Superhuman Mail, and Coda’s AI work assistant into a single, cohesive productivity ecosystem, accessible through one unified subscription plan.
To accompany the rebrand, the company also unveiled an all-new AI assistant, Superhuman Go, which will be included in all subscription tiers. The assistant is already integrated into the Chrome and Edge extensions formerly known as Grammarly.
Superhuman Go will offer key features such as:
- Composing and refining professional email responses
- Extracting and summarizing information
- Scheduling meetings and managing tasks
At launch, Superhuman Go will connect with both Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook, designed to provide continuous, context-aware assistance in the background—without requiring explicit user prompts.
According to Superhuman, the goal of this rebrand is to expand beyond the identity of a mere “writing agent.” By merging multiple intelligent agents and platforms—Grammarly, Superhuman Mail, and Coda—the company aims to empower users to work more efficiently and intuitively across digital environments.
Superhuman also plans to introduce new features for Coda and Superhuman Mail, such as automatically transforming meeting notes into drafts and organizing inboxes more effectively based on the user’s calendar and workflow.
Existing Grammarly users can now begin using Superhuman Go, while the new Superhuman suite will offer multiple subscription tiers:
- Pro Plan – $12 per month (annual billing): includes unlimited text rewriting and translation across 19 languages—a feature first introduced by Grammarly earlier this year.
- Business Plan – $33 per month (annual billing): includes all Pro features, plus access to the full Superhuman Mail client.
