OpenAI’s popular AI-powered video generation tool, Sora, has officially launched its Android version on November 4, 2025, allowing Android users to create a wide variety of videos directly within the app.
Regarding usage limits, Sora maintains a unified quota across all platforms — each account can generate up to 30 videos per day for free. Once this limit is reached, users must either wait until the following day or purchase additional credits, priced at $4 for 10 extra generations.
At present, the option to purchase additional credits is available exclusively on iOS, though OpenAI is expected to extend this feature to Android users soon. All purchased credits are synchronized across devices, meaning they can be used interchangeably on both iOS and Android versions.
Sora for Android also includes features such as audio mixing and voiceover generation, enabling users to create fully produced videos complete with narration—eliminating the need for additional editing or dubbing.
