Apple releases macOS Mojave, tvOS 12, watchOS 5 sixth developer beta
In addition to iOS 12 beta 6, Apple today released the sixth developer beta of macOS Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12, just one week away from the fifth beta. macOS Mojave adds the much-anticipated dark mode and provides dynamic wallpaper features. Wallpapers will change over time.
macOS Mojave supports a “stacked” desktop management system, and desktop files can be automatically organized according to a certain rule. The Finder has added a new “Gallery” browsing mode. The Quick View feature supports more operations. Apple News, the stock market, home and voice memos for the iOS platform are also coming to the macOS platform. Apple also redesigned the Mac App Store.
watchOS 5 supports a new fitness competition feature that challenges friends to a seven-day competition. According to the completion of the fitness record ring, the corresponding points can be obtained. Besides, watchOS 5 also supports Walkie-Talkie walkie-talkie features, which can quickly communicate with friends and automatically identify training programs. Apple Watch can sense a lot of physical training programs; it will remind you to open the fitness training app when you exercise, and even accumulate the amount of exercise you have completed.
Other new features in watchOS 5 include support for Siri tags for third-party apps, as well as stand-alone Apple podcast apps, support for new sports types such as yoga and enhanced notification reminder support. watchOS 5 does not support the first Apple Watch upgrade.
tvOS 12 adds Dolby Atmos support. Apple said that iTunes would become the world’s largest Dolby Atmos resource library, and movies that purchased can upgrade for free. Other tvOS 12 improvements include automatic password filling and more.
