IBM created the world’s smallest computer

IBM has been working on the development of pervasive computing, and as a result, computers of the same size as a grain of salt have recently been produced. In the future, these microcomputers will be found in various products.

This is an upgraded version of IBM’s “crypto anchor” project, which uses high-tech watermarking technology to validate products, thus eliminating the possibility of agents doping fake products inauthentic products. Of course, the world’s smallest computer currently manufactured by IBM is mainly used in the blockchain field, which can improve logistics tracking services based on blockchain technology.

In addition to its small size, IBM’s micro-computer is priced at only 10 cents per unit and can be basically installed on any device. And through the large-scale application, it can realize the ubiquitous computing that IBM has been pursuing. It can be used as a micro-computing, sensor collecting data, and Internet of things. Even though its size is only 1mm x 1mm, it is no different from ordinary computers except that it uses solar cells to provide power. The computing power is equivalent to the chip level of the 1990s. At present, the project is still an IBM lab product, but in the future company’s five-year plan, it will be applied on a large scale.
