Windows 10 April 2018 Update: explorer.exe process random crash
I believe that many people have started to manually upgrade the Windows 10 April 2018 update, then you have any problems in the upgrade process? Following previous exposures, users recently posted a random crash in the explorer.exe process on Reddit and the Microsoft support community.
It is not yet confirmed what the specific reason is, but according to multiple user feedback, it may be the reason for Windows Timeline. After this feature is turned off, the issue of random crash closing of the explorer.exe process is resolved.
Windows Timeline is a feature introduced in Windows 10 April 2018 Update. Using the cloud synchronization feature allows users to resume any activity in the past 30 days. During the synchronization process, this feature can cause the explorer.exe process to crash randomly and shut down.
