Windows 10 Build 17627 released
For users of the Skip Ahead channel, Microsoft has just released the latest version of the Windows 10 Redstone 5 branch — Build 17627. This version update does not introduce any new features but paves the way for functional updates on the line in the second half of the year, which is to say that Redstone 5 is playing the foundation, mainly focusing on BUG repair and background performance improvement.
The main improvements of Windows 10 Build 17627 are as follows:
- fixed an issue where If you try to open a file that is available online-only from OneDrive that hasn’t been previously downloaded to your PC (marked with a green checkmark in File Explorer), your PC could bugcheck (GSOD).
- fixed an issue resulting in the Emoji Panel not working in the last two flights.
- When a process in Task Manager is suspended, or has suspended child processes, you’ll now see an icon indicating as much in the Status column of the Processes tab.
