Microsoft: Nearby Share will support Android and iOS
The Windows 10 April Update introduces many new features. One of these features is Nearby Share/Near Share, which allows users to easily transfer files from one Windows 10 PC to another. At Build 2018, Microsoft confirmed This feature was introduced on the Android and iOS platforms and allows users to send files and links on Android or iOS devices to Windows 10 PCs.
iOS or Android applications use the Project Rome SDK to implement this feature. It uses Bluetooth to detect the PC and then automatically decides whether to use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to transfer files based on whether the device is on the same network.
