Windows Admin Center officially launched
The Project Honolulu project, which was unveiled at Ignite last year, “is a locally deployed, browser-based app for managing servers, clusters, hyper-converged infrastructure, and Windows 10 PCs.” After more than half a year of incubation improvements, Microsoft announced the launch of the project, officially known as “Windows Admin Center”.
The web-based Windows Admin Center enables IT, administrators or developers, to efficiently manage multiple hosts and servers in a modern, simple, highly integrated, and secure remote management environment. This means that IT administrators no longer need to independently open Event Viewer, Device Manager, Disk Manager, Task Manager, and Service Manager.
Microsoft stated that Project Honolulu has exceeded 50,000 downloads, has deployed more than 25,000 customers, and has run more than 250,000 connection instances. The Windows Admin Center is currently ready for the actual production environment and supports both Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2012. There is no cost other than the Windows license fee.
